Peer Reviewed Research: Dental Evidence

Detection Today Versus Drillings and Fillings Tomorrow

No contest.  Although as witnessed every day, it’s not so simple, with a high number of cases going undetected because the signs of decay are subtle and therefore easily overlooked, assessment and analysis is challenging enough as it is and of course there is the additional factor of keeping on time and the pressure this imposes on the Dental Clinicians.

How AssistDent® Overcomes These Common Industry Problems

By utilising artificial intelligence and advanced algorithms, AssistDent analyses a bitewing radiograph in approximately 8 to 10 seconds on average.  The software  highlights ‘Regions of Interest’ for further scrutiny.  This helpful prompt, has a very high success rate: 76% detection rate with AssistDent compared to 44% without using the AI software.
